Our next BSAW event will be focused around the work of Brent Hayes Edwards, who will be giving this year’s James Weldon Johnson lecture and holding a special workshop with our working group. Over the course of an illustrious career, Prof. Edwards has made significant contributions to the study of African-American and African diasporic literature, Francophone literature, 20th-century poetry, translation studies, black radical historiography, archive theory, and black music.
